TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

It is the customer’s responsibility to read the following terms and conditions:

(a)1 year return to base warranty on all new equipment, unless specified.                                                                                   

DOA period for all products is strictly 7 days from date of purchase, after this date warranty repair procedures apply.

(b) 30 days warranty or 3 Months as specified on invoice for EX Lease/Refurbished Equipment unless specified differently.

(c) Viruses and other software related issues are NOT covered under warranty across all products. Warranty covers PARTS and LABOUR. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that antivirus software is maintained and updated to prevent software corruption. All software issues are the responsibility of the customer, including backup of data.

(d) We are Strictly Cash on Delivery for System/Parts and Computer Services unless on credit application.                      

(e) The Laptop Factory Outlet Pty Ltd makes no other express warranty or condition whether written or oral.                  

(f) Any implied Warranty or condition of merchantability, satisfactory quality, or fitness for a particular purpose is limited to the conditions set out below.

(g) The Maintenance Agreement does not cover malfunctions caused by the equipment being damaged including, but not limited to physical damage, misuse of product against designed purpose, water damage or any other liquid damage, damage caused by lightning strike/power surges.

(h) Batteries are not covered by warranty. Battery life may be suggested but there is no warranty on batteries.

(i) All Warranty claims for our EX LEASE/Refurbished items must be RTB (Return to Base) unless specified. If we cannot fix your fault, we will exchange for a similar product where possible. All NEW Equipment has VENDOR Warranty and must be returned to the VENDOR for warranty claims. It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain manufacturers DOA and RA numbers where applicable.

(j) The Laptop Factory Outlet does not offer refunds or exchanges if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. A credit note may be offered at -15% restocking fee of the returned goods. All goods must be returned in correct working order.

(k) The Laptop Factory Outlet can’t be held responsible for loss of data due to hardware faults or software corruption.

 

 

LAY-BY AND DEPOSIT TERMS & CONDITIONS

It is the customer’s responsibility to read the following terms and conditions:

(a) The terms and conditions of sale are applicable from the date of receiving the goods.

(b) Deposits are non-refundable as are lay-by payments. In the event that the product is no longer desired, a full store credit may be offered for use on anything else in store.

(c) In the event a cancellation of deposit/ lay-by occurs, a 15% restocking fee based on the full balance may be deducted

(d) From date of invoice, the goods will be held for up to 2 months, for transactions up to or under $1000 the goods will be held up to 1 month. After this time, the goods will be resold and store credit offered. The only exception for lay-by and deposit holding periods must be stated on the invoice or else is not applicable.

(e) It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange for both payment and pick up of all goods under lay-by or deposit.

(f) Any goods being held under lay-by or deposit remain the full property of The Laptop Factory Outlet until the goods are fully paid.

(g) Lay-by or deposit extensions may be offered under some circumstances, but for this to occur it is the customer’s responsibility to contact The Laptop Factory Outlet to discuss such extensions.

 

 

 

 

REPAIR, UPGRADE AND SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

It is the customer’s responsibility to read the following terms and conditions:

(a) It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the drop off and pick up of all products.

(b) Original receipt for drop off of unit MUST be presented for pick up of units. The Laptop Factory Outlet reserves the right to REFUSE return of the product unless either the original docket is provided, or photo ID with a matching name and address to the original docket.

(c) All warranty repairs where replacement hardware is issued comes with a 12 month warranty on the repaired or replaced part only. Software repairs do not come with a warranty.

(d) Our standard repair turnaround time is 3-7 days for all standard repairs or 1-2 days for all gold class repairs, provided no parts have to be ordered. Repairs are prioritized by The Laptop Factory Outlet based on customer’s choice of repair package then a first in first served policy amongst repair classes.

(e) The Laptop Factory Outlet reserves the right to refuse return of all repairs/services/upgrades until the full payment is made for the repair/service or upgrade.

(f) The Laptop Factory Outlet takes no responsibility for further faults or damage found on any repairs that are discovered whilst in our possession.

(g) Most repairs to entail the hard drive being wiped. This in turn loses all data off the machine. If data backup is required, it is the customer’s responsibility to raise this point so no data is lost. Data can be recovered or backed up if needed, but this is a chargeable service as it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the back up of all data.
